HUD awards funds for an elevator expansion project in Tower One building a third elevator on the side of the building to allow more room for seniors with assistive devices. Fourteen Tower East apartments and more Tower One apartments on floors 11-20 are converted into assisted living apartments.

May 10, 2010 – Groundbreaking ceremony for elevator and Assisted Living apartment projects.

2013 – Projects are complete and residents start to move into new apartments.

2017 – The Towers celebrates its 50^th anniversary with a series of events and successful endowment campaign and combines Tower One and Tower East into one entity, The Towers.
