President/CEO, Dorothy Giannini-Myers, began the steps to incorporate services within the building to allow seniors to remain more independent and to continue living in their apartments. A bank branch and convenience store were added along with supportive services, including an on site Elder Care Clinic, and enhanced programs and activities.

1991 – Towers Foundation is created as an unrestricted fund to support programs and activities through donations and grants.

1998 - A new partnership with Utopia Assisted Living Services is formed with nurses and CNAs providing care to seniors in their apartments.

HUD awards grants for assisted living apartment conversions, new office space on the first floor of Tower One, new entrance and expansion of dining room and programming spaces.
